Detox Diets Are Very Effective

The earth is filled with greenery and we must learn to use it to our benefit. Ancient man knew the positive effects of eating raw green vegetables and herbs which kept him healthy and fit all the time. With the increase of pollution, stress at work and irregular eating habits disease has risen rapidly in human civilization. Lack of time for relaxation due to overwork has also not given man any time to exercise and maintain fitness levels. These are the various factors which also give rise to indigestion and increase toxic levels in the body. When the toxic level increases in the blood, blood circulation goes down and poisonous waste gives rise to diseases like high blood cholesterol, diabetes, obesity, ulcer, cancer etc.

Maintaining healthy skin also depends on following a good detox diet. Detox diet is a food pattern which removes all the toxins from the blood. Detox diet completely cleanses the system of all impurities ensuring a healthy digestive and excretory system. This diet also makes sure the metabolism functions properly with all glands secreting hormones in a balanced state which in turn regulate functions of different organs. There are many types of diet routines you can follow to ensure a good body cleansing.

The diet starts with liquids and then follows on to solid intake. Starting with the morning routine, you need to avoid coffee and tea and also other types of soda and aerated drinks for a couple of months. Aerated drinks contain harmful ingredients and sugar which causes obesity. Starting off in the morning, you can mix lemon juice in lukewarm water and mix two tablespoons of honey and drink it everyday. Honey will kill all the infectious germs in the body, and lemon will detoxify the system. Both honey and lemon act as a good laxative and will improve bowel movement.

The next step is to increase raw vegetables in the food and reduce any kind of oily substance. You can have oil as it is necessary for lubrication of body parts, but reduce it to a maximum to almost negligible amounts for sometime. Start eating sprouts and fruits. There are chickpeas, moong sprouts, and even groundnut sprouts can be grown. Let the roots grow out almost half an inch in length and then they are ready enough to be eaten. Mix the sprouts with salad and make this as a diet for lunch or dinner. You can add black pepper and rock salt for taste.

Apart from this, a regular routine of fruit juices would be good for the detoxification. A couple of weeks on a diet of fruits and fruit juices would detoxify the body completely. Whenever you decide to go for a detox diet, you must stop eating all sorts of junk food, and even stop buying outside food. Start cooking at home simple boiled food which can be small quantities of rice with vegetables. Reduce the rice quantity as the carbohydrates can lead to obesity. Avoid bread at any cost.
